At the foot of layered ridges, a house appears nestled within the mountains, suggesting a resting place during a long journey. To the side of the house, a long waterfall cascades down through the valleys and appears to flow toward a river on the left. A child with double topknots stands at the gate, holding a broom, while two chickens roam the yard. Nearby, a figure on a donkey and another leading a cart loaded with goods approach the house, indicating a pause along their journey. Towering mountain ridges dominate the background, while the comparatively large scale of the house and figures in the foreground is a distinctive feature of this composition.
