Subtle seasonal and atmospheric changes are skillfully rendered, creating a lyrical mood. The paintings are rooted in the An Gyeon School, which follows the Northern Song Li-Guo tradition, and are characterized by the use of aerial perspective to suggest spatial depth, an asymmetrical composition, and receding main peaks layered in succession. Hills and architectural elements in the foreground are positioned closer to the center of the composition. Among the paintings, Evening Bell from a Mist-Shrouded Temple the use of mi dots and horizontally stretched cloud formations is particularly striking, revealing the influence of Mi-style landscape painting.
