This painting depicts a gathering of senior officials aged seventy and above. Omitting the landscape background, the composition is dominated by a large building that vividly captures the moment of the banquet. Set against a decorative folding screen painted with birds and flowers, seven participants are seated on leopard-skin cushions before a table laden with food and drink. The presence of lit candles on either side of the central pillar inside the hall suggests that the gathering took place in the evening. Genre scenes, including women dancing and attendants preparing for the event, are naturally integrated into the composition.
