This transcribed copy combines two Buddhist scriptures teaching the immeasurable depth and extent of parental love. The transcription project was commissioned by the family of Prince Hyoryeong (an older brother of King Sejong), his wife, and their five sons. For this copy, the substrate is undyed plain paper, and the scribe used gold ink only for the title of the text and simple black ink for the rest. Despite its restrained use of extravagant material such as indigo paper and gold ink, this manuscript still exhibiting the magnitude and grace of royal patronage.
