Sub-theme1
This bell was enshrined at Yujeomsa Temple of Mount Geumgang. In the fifteenth century, Yujeomsa underwent multiple renovation projects sponsored by the royal house. It is believed that the casting of this bell was also one of those royal projects. The shoulder of the bell is decorated with several concentric circles. The waist, divided into two registers by parallel lines, is decorated with Sanskrit characters and dragon patterns. The canons are fashioned into the shape of two dragons rearing their heads. This motif is a distinctive mark of the fifteenth-century Buddhist bells sponsored by the royal household.
